The East of Eden Mission Community covers 18 congregations (Anglican and Methodist) along the Eden Valley and Alston Moor, including Addingham, Alston, Culgaith, Edenhall, Gamblesby, Great Salkeld, Salkeld Dykes, Kirkland, Kirkoswald, Langwathby, Lazonby, Melmerby, Ousby, Renwick, and Skirwith.
Each of our church buildings is unique, with it’s own story and personality.
The locations of the East of Eden Mission Churches and Chapels are spread far and wide. The Churches Trust for Cumbria have developed this map to allow you to access the precise location of our churches and chapels.
If you are looking for private prayer , the following churches are always open: Addingham St Michael & All Angels, Culgaith All Saints, Great Salkeld St Cuthbert, Kirkland St Lawrence, Langwathby St Peter, Melmerby St John the Baptist, Ousby St Luke and Renwick All Saints.
Kirkoswald, St Oswald is open daily, 9am – 5pm (during Summer) and Lazonby, St Nicholas from 9am – 4pm.
