Fellside Connect

What is it all about?

A Home Bible Study Group in Skirwith. We meet together around Gods Word, the Bible, to learn together, to encourage one another and to pray.

What happens at a normal session?

We are an evolving group, finding our way as we go. Meetings usually include time for a friendly chat over a cuppa, followed by  prayer, Bible reading, discussion and worship in song. There is always room for asking questions though we don’t always know the answers!

Fellside Connect Advent Series

The anticipation of Christmas is often met with mixed emotions – joy, hope, excitement, stress, loneliness, dread, to mention just a few. This year why not take an evening a week during Advent as part of your Christmas preparation, to step aside from the daily round and contemplate something of the wonder of Christ’s coming? We will be exploring just a little of the Gospel themes of watching, repenting, healing and loving.

Our Advent series runs over 4 weeks, meeting in Skirwith Village Hall (down the hill from St John’s Church) on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm. We will be using material from Tom Wright’s book: “Advent for Everyone – A Journey through Matthew”

Details as follows:

Week 1: Tuesday 28th November – A Time to Watch

Week 2: Tuesday 5th December – A Time to Repent

Week 3: Tuesday 12th December – A Time to Heal

Week 4: Tuesday 19th December – A Time to Love

Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are very welcome to come and join us for one or more of the sessions.

Week 1 will be led by Phil and Lydia Catt.  Weeks 2, 3 and 4 will be led by Reverend Lindsay Harrod.

Any questions, contact Phil and Lydia on 01768 879 236
