We are a Methodist Church of people drawn from Langwathby and nearby villages – our “tag line” is “All are Welcome”. We are outward-looking and members support “All We Can” (the Methodist relief agency), Methodist Homes, Action for Children, Water Aid, Fairtrade and Christian Aid amongst others.
We are open-minded and welcome others to explore with us the implications of the Christian faith for our lives today. Our monthly “Meeting Point”, Langwathby Fellowship and “Oasis” are open to all and are attended by members of the community as well as church members. Other groups also meet in our premises.
We work closely with our friends at St Peter’s Parish Church. Sunday services, usually at 11, alternate between the two churches. We also share a reflective evening service with “Taize” music on the first Sunday evening of the month at the Methodist Chapel.
