Addingham Church is strategically placed to serve five settlements in the surrounding area. These are Gassonby, Gamblesby, Hunsonby with Winskill and Little Salkeld. The original village of Addingham was swept away in the 12th Century when the river Eden changed its course. The church was relocated and from the list of Rectors on the board within, they started from 1272. Presently there is a monthly BCP Holy Communion service but with the intention of adding a further service.
