The is one of Cumbria’s finest small churches, hidden away down a stone walkway known as The Priest’s Walk. Apart from having a separate stone bell tower, on the hill adjacent to the church, it one of the few remaining ‘well chapels’. St. Oswald is part of the ecumenical worshipping community in Kirkoswald where services alternate between the church and the Methodist Chapel. As a result of this working partnership there are more opportunities for mission. Family Funtime, is a holiday outreach activity, which is run by the Mums supported by the churches.
