Please join us and help to plant 1000 wild daffodil bulbs along the path at Addingham churchyard.
Under a new, gentler mowing regime, the churchyard this year has really bloomed with species such as self-heal, fox-and-cubs and oxeye daisies as well as snowdrops and wild daffodils in the spring. To help this along we want to border the path with wild daffodils to help the bees find food early in the year.
On 29th October at 3 pm there will be a Service of Thanksgiving and Remembering for loved ones and those who have suffered loss.
Bringing the two ideas together, we are inviting anyone who wishes to commemorate a loved one to plant a bulb together with a slip of paper bearing their name. The paper contains wild flower seeds, so we are hoping that wild flowers will succeed the daffodils.
All volunteers, including family groups, will be most welcome! Hot drinks and cakes will be available in the church.
Please come and join us during the day (bring your own trowel, in case there are not enough to go round).
